Virtual NSM

With COVID-19 interrupting normal business operations, a global dietary supplement organization turned to Broadstreet to create, produce and manage its US National Sales Meeting. They wanted a virtual meeting that would create the same energy and engagement as their live meeting.

Broadstreet applied its vast experience with virtual meetings and created a 5-day meeting that struck a balance between programmed content and the personal needs of the attendees. Each day was a blend of edutainment: information, education, and entertainment. The attendees were not only the audience, they were participants and content providers throughout each of the days. The program was designed to set an informal tone that created a one-on-one atmosphere with the presenter and each audience member.

From a production perspective, Broadstreet set up a studio at the organization’s headquarters that was closed to employees. Company executives presented live on-camera at their headquarters, following CDC guidelines for social distancing, mask wearing and other precautionary measures.

The result was, what is hoped to be, the organization’s only virtual NSM. Employees were engaged and participated throughout the entire week. The executives learned a new way to communicate to its field force, tell stories and present ideas in this new format. Broadstreet has been asked to return for all their internal and external full-scale meetings for the duration of the pandemic.
